A lacklustre performance from Corfe’s reserves lead to their fourth straight and a hammering at the hand of their opponents.

Corfe started the game not too badly and perhaps should have taken the lead when James Peters played in Simon Page who put his shot wide of the post.

Phoenix then took the lead after an error from Adam Travers in the Corfe goal and doubled their lead after the award of an extremely dubious penalty. They added a third before half time with Corfe barely in the contest at all.

HT 0-3

After some stern words were exchanged at half time the hosts came out for the second half with more energy and enthusiasm than the first half however a fourth goal for Phoenix knocked the wind from their sails and soon a fifth and sixth compounded Corfe’s misery. Simon Page pulled one back late on but it was little more than a consolation goal.
